My Approach:
My approach is to use a holistic lens grounded in family systems and multicultural perspectives. I work with clients experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, incorporating a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based practices. These tools help clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and strengthen resilience.
I create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. My goal is to walk alongside you, honoring your experiences and supporting your unique path toward healing and growth.
Background:
I am a Licensed Social Worker and Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist, bringing decades of experience in mental health, education, and prevention. My career began in a high behavior needs support school, then evolved into the corporate world of private aviation, then came full circle back to education, mental health, and becoming a therapist.
Education:
I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who earned my master’s degree (MSW) in social work from Miami University and my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
Currently I practice under the supervision of Jennifer Deshpande, LCSW.
About Glenna
Personal Information
When I am not working, you’ll likely find me reading a good book, spending time in nature, exercising, traveling, or connecting with family and friends. I also like to write, sometimes journaling, but often writing fiction and nonfiction for fun. I have two children who are now young adults. Over the years, I have learned as much from them as they have learned from me. My favorite book is The Mastery of Love: A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship by Miguel Ruiz
